The supervision program is designed to meet the requirements of the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, ensuring that you gain the necessary clinical hours and professional development to become an LCSW. Over the course of the program, you will be required to complete supervision hours (typically 100 hours of supervision). Sessions will focus on honing your clinical skills, discussing cases, and navigating real-world scenarios.
The commitment required for you as a supervisee includes:
Active participation in supervision sessions.
Preparation for supervision, which may include case presentations, self-reflection, and reading on relevant social work practices.
A willingness to engage in self-awareness exercises and professional growth to develop as a clinician.
Dedication to ethical practice and cultural competency, particularly as we address the needs of marginalized populations.
The program typically spans 2 years (depending on the number of supervision hours completed annually) and can be adjusted based on your needs.

Assessment and Diagnosis: Understanding and applying DSM-5 criteria, conducting thorough assessments, and making accurate diagnoses.
Clinical Skills: Deepening therapeutic techniques and building rapport with clients.
Ethical Decision-Making: Addressing ethical dilemmas, confidentiality, dual relationships, and cultural sensitivity in clinical practice.
Cultural Competency and Humility: Understanding how race, identity, and cultural context affect therapeutic relationships, with a focus on working with BIPOC populations.

Supervision and Self-Care: Developing strategies to manage burnout, vicarious trauma, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

We offer both individual and group supervision sessions, allowing you to benefit from personalized feedback while also learning from peers in group settings. Group supervision provides a collaborative environment to share experiences, gain new insights, and offer support to others in similar stages of professional development. Individual supervision provides personalized attention to your cases and professional challenges, allowing for tailored guidance and support to address your unique needs and growth as a clinician.
Both formats are available, depending on what you're looking for in your professional development. Each path will help you develop a well-rounded skill set as a clinical social worker and provide opportunities for case consultation, skills practice, and professional guidance tailored to your developmental needs.

To ensure that we are a good fit for each other, we begin with a 15-minute consultation to discuss your career goals, current practice, and expectations from supervision. We will also discuss rates for supervision, ensuring transparency and clarity about the costs associated with both individual and group sessions. This will help us determine if our supervisory relationship aligns with your needs and aspirations as you work toward your LCSW. We want to ensure that this program supports you holistically, both personally and professionally, and provides the space for your growth and development.
If you are ready to take the next step in your professional journey, we invite you to schedule a 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals and determine if our supervision program is the right fit for you.
